Break homeostasis - Overview
Breaking Out Of Homeostasis is a book written by "Ludvig SUNSTRĂ–M", a Swedish citizen living in Stockholm. The book is 350 pages long and explains the idea that most people are trapped in "homeostasis" - a biological process / condition that limits energy levels and ultimately leads to laziness and disinterest.
The starting point of the book is the idea that if you want to make progress in your life, you * need * to tackle the only thing that prevents you from actually making progress - the idea of "homeostasis."
The author explains that instead of being a process that is directly linked to your cells (which is the basic definition of what "homeostasis" in biology is), the macro-level process can be applied to your brain, thoughts, and habits in your life .
More specifically, when you think about how "modern" life forces you to become passive, submissive, and sedentary, the concept of "homeostasis" extends to the idea of "accepting your destiny," regardless of what you actually each want to do day.
Therefore, it might be interesting to see what this book promises to help you (especially the ability to determine the steps to "get your life back").
This tutorial is going to see how it works ...
Part 1 - Body Mastery
The book consists of two parts (control of body and mind). The first part discusses what is needed to achieve "body" control and the second part to achieve "mind" control.
The body control section elaborates on various topics that the author has personally used to achieve optimum body status - from reaching a slim body to performing the right exercises to make your muscles grow strongly (not large, only strong).
The purpose of this is to focus on the point that people understand that their bodies are a direct reflection of how they are responsible for it. Eating fat, not exercising, wasting time playing video games and letting go of other "negative" swaths that people let their bodies go through is actually quite absurd.
This part of the book explains that if you want to make progress in the world, it is essential to maintain a slim body. You don't have to be "torn" or something stupid - just take care of your body to the point that you can use it to gain as much energy as possible for the various "projects" you want to pursue.
Part 2 - Mind Mastery
The second - and more important - part of the book is "mind mastery". This looks at how someone should consider investing in "training" / "development" of his mind in an effort to achieve success.
Although there is a lot of information in this part of the book, the underlying premise is that you are the director of your destiny, and your "mind" is the sail that will take you there. Your success is essentially how well you can trim your ship and point it in the right direction.
The 'mind mastery' section is the main part of the book, with 7 chapters explaining some crucial elements about how the human brain will work (and how it generally tries to mislead you into taking the easiest route because you want to stay in homeostasis).
Such information as about the Neocortex, Amygdala and other parts of the brain is treated, as well as various points about the "winner effect". All in all a very in-depth and well-thought-out description of how the brain works and how it can be effectively optimized for working in the modern world.
Part 3 - Addendum
In the last part, various key factors are explained about careers and the working world. Although most people are likely to disguise this, it is important to give you the right perspective on what you are trying to achieve.
The biggest problem in the world today is passivity; being unable to determine where * you * want to go because of how your mind limits itself. Creating the discipline and the ability to make progress is by far the most rewarding part of the 'journey' of success - as explained on the final pages of the book.
